International Calling
Yes can you make international calls! Here are several ways you can do international calling:
If you have family or friends that live outside of the United States, you can buy a Magic Jack device for them. All you have to do is have it sent to a US address first, then mail it to them and you can talk free.
All your friends or family need is a computer that runs XP and a broadband or DSL internet connection. You won’t need to dial a city or country code, just dial as if you were calling a number in the United States. (1+area code+phone number).
If that isn’t a good option for you, then prepaid international calling is available for two cents per minute and up. The two cents per minute applies to most European countries. Just log into your account at my.magicjack.com and from there you can purchase $5 or $10 worth of minutes with your major credit card.
Remember, you can call anyone worldwide for free if they have a magicJack device and phone number. If you are overseas, you can call anywhere in the United States for free, but you cannot call another country for free, not even a phone number in the country you are currently visiting.
Also, you will be able to call Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands for free with your Magic Jack VOIP phone service.
Calls with your new phone service to Canada & Caribbean countries will require the following International dialing sequence:
Dial 1 + the area code + local number
Other Countries outside US & Canada
Dial 011 + country code + city code + local number
There are some countries like Dominican Republic, Trinidad & Tabago and Jamaica where calls does not require a prefix of 011.

Is there any difference in calling Trinidad and Tobago than calling North America on the magic jack in regards to the service already provided. Thank you for your response in this matter.

Just a little confused… Just wanted to make it clear. It’s been bugging me for a while.
…I live in New Hampshire, USA …I want to call Jamaica…
Do I have to buy a seprate phone card to call my friend? Or Is it completely free to call them? This person don’t have a majicjack though, I’m sure of it. Could I call my friend for free?
I just don’t want to try and call my friend and be charged or something for calls out of the country… You know? haha
Can you help me out?

My experience is that they don’t have Puerto Rico’s area code. You can call any number free from the magic jack phone, but if you call the magic Jack number from another telephone, they would charge you long distance on that other phone. In oder for you to activate the magic Jack you have to pretend you are in another state in the US using their area code, and that would be long distance in PR; if you plan to use it at home and call your magic Jack # from your Cell phone or any other regular phone they would charge you long distance on your bill and deduct time from your cell phone too. It’s not free yet in PR. I hope they include Puerto Rico’s area codes too.
