Customer Service Numbers For Magic Jack Voip Phone?


Does the magicJack voip phonehave any customer service phone numbers?  In a word – No.  As explained by Dan Borislow (the inventor of the magicJack) in his comments responding to an article on TelephonyOnline, the online chat customer service will know instantly if you have High-Speed internet and if your computer is working.  This takes two questions away right off the bat so that the customer service person can get down to the business of solving your problem. Problems with your internet service and/or your computer are not magicJack’s problems!  If you have a question or problem with your magicJack service not working properly, the chat can help you. 

Before contacting customer service chat, look through the magicJack Knowledge Base/FAQ pages. Most of the time, you’ll be able to find the solution to your problem there.  If not, then go the their customer service page for help.

If you want to return your Magic Jack, you must have an RMA number and include your proof of purchase and the MJ in its original packaging.  Don’t just pop it in an envelope and send it back to magicJack, it will be returned to you.  To fill out the form to request an RMA number, click here.

Take a few minutes to read through the Magic Jack official web site, you’ll have a much better experience with your MJ.  Go there and read through it now if you have any questions about how it works or if you have any problems…you should find it there fairly quickly if you take the time to look.

More and more companies are going to online customer service…the Magic Jack is certainly not alone in this. How many companies have you called on the phone and been satisfied with their customer service?  They are few and far between, aren’t they?

    Have magic jack but have been unable to make calls to the same area code that I have. I have gone to Magic Jacks web site for answers but have been unable to find out a reason. I went to their chat site and conversed with a number of so called customer service reps and they were unable to help me . One time the rep said he or she would refer me to their tech support people. After we tryed a number of so called fixes , they said they were doing some work on their end and to try it again later. I waited for a day and tryed it again and still no fix . basically , if you have a problem that they cannot fix , it sounds like they give you the run around until they just say something to get you to leave. My wife said I should have sent them back in the 30 thirty day trial period, but I didn’t so I guess I’m SOL

    You’ll never get your refund if you return it. they don’t tell you that you have to keep the computer on 24-7 to receive calls. They apparently don’t keep records of returns, either. I have been trying for three months to get my money refunded after returning it within two weeks, and get lots of runarounds and non-English questions, and lots of lies, but no refund. It’s a total sham, and I am reporting them to the Attorney General in my state. I hope everyone who is treated as I was does the same thing. Let’s run this creep out of business!!!

    I have been trying to find out how to cancel my order for the majic jack and their is no way of contacting them to do so. After reading all the bad inquires about majic jack I most certainly changed my mind but I think I screwed myself for ordering it, this company most certainly sounds like a bunch of con artist to rip off the public, they need to be shut down and now before they get to rich off us. So who ever has been done wrong by this company if you can call them that report them to the BBBand the attorney general office and file complaints against this company Majic Jack.

    Have you talked with a customer service representative through their online chat? Try that, you can also just return the magicjack (don’t open it) and then dispute the transaction through your credit card company or bank.

    I have been very happy with my magicjack… until I looked at my credit card. I have been charged TWICE for the magic jack (around $50 the first time and $46 recently) as well as other small charges of $3.95. I don’t know how to get this to stop! There is no one to contact and the “live help” on their website just keeps you going back to the same screen and you can never talk to anyone. What do I do?

    I want to return the magic jack and I can’t find the original packaging. Most companies don’t require you to return it in the original packaging which you state you do. Does this mean I’m stuck with something I am not using and have to pay for it anyway plus be charged year after year? If this isn’t resolved I will not only dispute it again but report this company as I see so many others have to the BBB and atorney generals office.

    I think majic jack is a rip off. I didn’t know I had to keep my computer running to get calls. All I get is static on my phone when I use it, and my charge card has been charged twice.I am going to report them because obviously this is a problem, I am not the only one that got overcharged.

    Magic Jack has not EVER worked right and I called their company and they did not know what the problem was. Problem is IT DOES NOT WORK, your phone won’t ring, you will try to dial out and as soon as your number has been dialed you get another dial tone, over and over.
    Finally, one day it gave a message, Please connect to the internet… Ha hahaha, I am connected dummy. It has never worked since.
    I am filing a BBB complaint. They score and F already . Hope there is a class action lawsuit coming !!!

    I purchased my Magic Jack and have been using it for the past two weeks, and it works great. Some of the comments I read about not having the package is not Magic Jacks problem, as they make it very clear to keep the package and that they will not accept returns without it. I think others are trying to use this product without Broadband internet service and that is their problem, as Magic Jack specificaly states you must have broad band for it to work. Yes, you must keep your computer on to receive calls, as this is a phone service over the internet, so it only makes sense that your service has to be on in order to receive or send calls.

    I love my Magic Jack and it allowed me to cut my cell phone time in half and I also cut my land line to basic service which also saves me money.

    There’s a message… “Connect to internet…..” But I am connected to internet, and the computer settings hasn’t changed at all.

    Majic jack is advertised as a reliable phone service which can replace your land line. Problem is Majic Jack does not always work. Calls are made to your phone and it is not working. You answer and can’t hear them or they can’t hear you. You can’t retrieve messages. Now, all of these things are fixable. Problem is you miss the call. They have to call back. You have to restart MJ. You have to update MJ. You have to restart your computer. Get the picture? Majic Jack is a joke. It will not replace digital or land land because we wish an “always” ready to answer phone service with the ability to make an emergency call to 911 immediatly, not after chatting with someone in India, doing an upgrade, a restart , and then trying again, all the while your house may be burning, medical help is needed, immediately, at the moment, instantly, always.
    I hope the FCC steps in and stops this scam, soon.

    hi ,i have a magic jack but i havent used it yet// i installed it and i got a number and everything then i verified my e-mail address but still i cannot make calls… first of all they tell me that i need to activate my account to use magicjack secondly in the box in the middle they say please connect to the internet and double cllick here while i m already connected. so what exactly is the problem ? hope u can help

    After getting my firewalls set up correctly (you need ports 5060 & 5070 opened) it works great. Good sound quality, even my fax machine works, though that’s not guaranteed.

    All the issues I see here are addressed in the Magic Jack web page FAQ section. I had fairly good luck with their web page support chat on an ordering change issue.

    As far as I can see they are not a rip-off or scam, though I guess it’s to be expected some people will have trouble. I can now call my son in Poland with a local number, and he can call my home phone even when my computer is off. Can’t beat that for $20 a year.

    I also use this for my small office phone so I don’t have to be on the cell all the time.

    I have have had Magic Jack since April 08..My problem NOW is I can only get incoming calls..When I try to call out it gives me a recording that my A/C has too many calls & to call another ph# for update but my call will drop every time..I called from another ph & its just a recoring saying their voice mail is full..Its been a week now..I can’t find a ph# to call anyone & forget LIVE CHAT..it just refers me to the written questions..And it won’t let me change A/C’s on my ph..To others get rid of Yahoo Music JukeBox coz it messes up Magic Jack..

It says if you are connected to the internet our registration server is down, so I went to tech chat and they had me run a bunch of applications none worked, and still this morning im getting same thing, but when I pick up my phone I here a dial tone, but cant make calls or get a number until I can figure out why It wont let me register.

    I received the two Magic Jacks I ordered. They were suppose to be $39.95 each and came with a one year subscription. I was charged $217.65! Do the math. There is no “24-7″ service as advertised, there is no direct “chat” as advertised, and there is no customer service number to call. Actually, there is no customer service at all! I’m forced to place a dispute with my credit card company. How ridiculous is this? After reading a lot of other “billing issues” I’m really worried about further charges. I may have to declare my credit card lost in order to prevent any possibility of this happening. Too bad we (the public) are duped into products that are nationally advertised and endorsed by legitimate sources.

    Just got the Magic Jack…it’s working….kinda. I can make and receive calls to land lines no problem. But if someone from a cell phone tries to call me, it never comes through. They get a message that the call cant be completed. I can call cell phones through.
    As for speaking to a real person, at like your ording a magic jack use a debit card call the # given and ask to speak to customer service!

    I bought a Magic Jack last week…it worked for the first 3 calls I made that day. A week later, today, I tried it again…I could make calls but the person i was calling could not hear me but i could hear them…..after 3.5 hours with their “tec support” …it still does not work…so i said “just send me a replacement” gee that can not be done without the original package, order mumber (I bought it from World Voice Telecom, face to face …so there is no order number ….and also i need a return authorization number. I know they will never replace this product. I was initially impressed with the potential of the product….but after my 3.5 hour tec support and my final chat asking for the item to simply be replaced ….I think all is not what it is said to be.

    I dont know about you guys with the negetive comment, but i have no problem using the MJ very easy to use works great as they say it would. it’s a matter of common sence when you are installing it and also it could be that your computer is the problem, think about it why is most of the MJ users just dont have any problem like me. check you computer and phone devises, cable jacks. the problem is the person not doing or having the right equipment.

    Since before Christmas actual since the latest update my Vtech cordless phone stopped dialing, I have been on their “so-called” customer service chat and have been told to buy a new phone but today when again chatting with someone they informed me that in 5-6 hours they will be done updating on their end and that my Vtech phone would start working. I really haven’t had any problems with my magic jack til the newest update, every now and then I might have echo but heck I am spending $20 a year for a phone when if I went thru my phone company and got everything magic jack offers would cost me over $60 month just for the phone not internet that total would be over $100 a month so I am not gripping bout the little things I just want to be able to make calls using my phone not soft pad on computer. So lets hope that this “update” they are doing now will resolve the problems some of us are having making calls using the phone.

    We’ve installed out Magic Jack without any problems so far. The only set back is the area code…most of our friends and family cannot call us because it is now considered long distance. If our area code should happen to come available (814) would we be able to change our phone number?

    Yes you can change your area code and phone number one time for free. What you could do until then is tell your friends and family to either email or text you when they want to call and you can call them. If that isn’t an option, have them call you quick, hang up and call them back on your magic jack.

    Also, the funds will be released if you return the magic jack.

    We’ve been hearing that calls get disconnected after one hour. That sucks, but at least you can call back for free. If it isn’t the one hour thing for you, it may be skips in your internet connection that cause you to lose the call.

    I have as of this posting spent a total of 8 to 9 hours with the Agents at Magicjack, I a Certified A+ Technician and cannot believe the incompetence of the magicjack support people.
    I have been through support at all levels and each time I call it is like the first time, I asked them to review the previous posts without
    results, they start the same script over, I have asked for a return on the unused portion of the subscription and I get the reply to take it to radio shack, I told them that they supply the service.

    I have to say I was terrified to deal with Magic Jack customer service after all the bad reviews, but I just got off a chat with a customer rep and was totally satisfied with the service. He was informed, polite, friendly, and had good English. I am past the return date and didn’t expect to get a refund. I just wanted to cancel my subscription and return the device (which turns out not to be necessary). Maybe they are improving in this department, or I just got lucky. Their site is pretty annoying, though, you have to click a bunch of times to actually start the chat, and if you select any options having to do with returns you are redirected to a “wait, before you return!” type window. Still, not the nightmare I expected.

    I have used the Magic jack for 3 wks and have had many issues! Echos,dial tones,not able to make calls,very poor quality of voice,hearing only every 3rd word..no help from “chat lines’ only tell you to disconnect,put into new USB,try a new phone,try the short cable,shut off your computer each day for one hour{then you have no phone service}I will be leaving U.S. in April,I will take the device to Greece and will see if it works there,other than that I’m out $40.00!! i would not recomend this to anyone!!!

    I initially had some difficulties with Magic Jack, (i.e., unreliable when answering calls, echoes, etc.) but have since received a new unit; and all the problems have pretty much disappeared.

    I dealt with a live customer service rep (IM over internet) and while not top-notch, were still approachable.

    The main issue I still have is that every time the computer re-boots with a Windows update, Magic Jack does not always re-boot, so I have to watch it. At any rate, I took the five year plan, and it comes out to about $3 per month for unlimited calling & domestic long distance. Not a bad deal if you think about it.

    I have had MJ for 4 mo. Then puff, all messed up.
    Customer service IM is quick BUT they run you around till you finally wear out. Absolutley pissed me off. 3 days of it, Chat Chat Chat.
    \Then I took the jack and thrw uit and slamed agaist the wall. No joke,
    working fine all day now.
    Give it a try. Slam it on a desk, a wall whatever. Nothing to lose.

    I have had my MJ for about two months now. It works fine and I am very pleased with it. I do have one “problem” that I am trying to solve though. I want to use a headset and USB port sometimes. I bought a USB adapter that I can plug my Koss headset into. That works well sometime when I’ve tried switching btwn telephone and headset. It has worked. but it seems that I need to configure my settings each time. Where it says to “select Your Device I am not sure what to select for each category. Can anyone help? Thanks.

    ive had my magicjack since last june,its worked fine until now !!!! i dial a number and it goes back to dial tone, i boot it up , it gives me broken storage error,, i delete all its files and start all over and now it boots up, gets dial tone and acts like its going to be all good then shuts down and reboots all on its own , over and over again !!!!! if i dial quick and talk super fast i can get half a phone call in !! i used to talk magicjack up to be great for the price !!! now i will make sure my friends dont buy it !!! i will be filing a complaint !!

    Hello, I cannot activate my Magic Jack…first it says I must connect to internet so even though I am already connected I go to connect on my computer and connect with user name and password, then I plug in Magic Jack & get registration screen, fill it out, but then when I finish filling out and activate it just hangs there at the Please wait. I do get an Internet Explorer error 710 line 7 and it asks me do you want to run the scripts on this page and I either say yes or no but the result is always the same….I CANNOT REGISTER THE MAGIC JACK. Also I cannot return it because I did not keep the original ripped plastic packaging which I thought was no good so Radio Shack refused to take it back. My stepbrother uses Magic Jack and loves it…so does my dad…they don’t have any problems.
    WHY CAN’T I REGISTER THIS? I spent many hours with their tech support and tried everything…probably so far 10 to 14 hours.

    I bought Majic Jack from the official website , When I plug majic jack in to the computer, the driver(software) does not get installed and there is an error.(Progress bar of the installation window does not finish all the way).

    Any kind of help will be greatly appreciate.

    Is there a way to stop MagicJack from automatically loading when the pc boots up.

    I would much rather start it up from the shortcut and be able to turn it off when I want.

    Other than that, It has worked great for me, very clear hearing people and them hearing me, I dont recommend using a head set. I tried it and the mic on the headset will catch all the background noise.

    The person you called will hear static. But on the phone (corded not cordless) everything is just like my regular phone.

    I just want to be able to manually start it and manually shut it down.

    If curious as to why, I am a gamer and I have to go thru the task manager to shut it down.

    You are doing a very nice job.My MJ has only one problem on picking up the phone from cradle the dial tone takes a long time to appear. I have changed many instruments, purchased powered USB ports, Fit the phone directly in computer without the cord. I have tried in various notebooks and computers but the problem remains.
    I have a high speed BB internet. But nothing works and for this reason I have started hating MJ. Do you have any solution to the problem. It is very frustrating to wait for the dial tone to appear when you want to make a phone call. Hope to get a reply/suggestion from you. Bye

    That might be from your internet connection so I can only suggest that you try a different phone and also if you can, someone else’s internet service just to see if that is the cause. I have had beeps on a regular land-line that was not used with magic jack, so I think it must be an external problem.

    I purchased the magicjack in Nov. of 2008…have had few problems and most were “learning” experience, mostly I am satisfied.
    Only problem I did not get corrected is the beeping(Some say it sounds like someone trying to dial the phone) that others hear on their end when I call them(I cannot hear it on my end)
    Doesn’t seem to happen 100% of the time…has anyone else experienced this??
    For me I got fed up with asking the phone company to explain the increasing “FEES”(Which they never do) on my landline…my bill kept going up and I was not even making long distance calls…so even though the magicjack isn’t perfect..it sure helps to stretch the budget during these economic woes.

    You certainly have a good attitude. If more than one person complains of touch tone crosstalk then the problem is in your town, usually a bandwidth problem between your cable company and the backbone internet service provider. Try calling the same people with your computer and MagicJack from a friends’ house on the same cable company broadband network. If the calls are OK from the friends’ house, then your cable or DSL broadband provider should clean up or change your lines.
    I notice with great interest that the negative remarks from some MJ customers are due to their Ugly American type attitude. They want cheaper phones, but expect very expensive Telco type service.

    I have over 50 years AT&T phone company experience and am interested in how you solve the problem that is not the fault of your equipment.

    I believe I have used your service for around 20months to 2 years. And I signed a 5 year deal at the end of my first year. However, as good as your invention has been, off late I have seen a sharp dive in the service. I guess with the hype magic jack has created, there has been a flood of customers may be a couple of dozens thanks to me. I am guessing you are in the process of upgrading your systems fair enough, I hope you soon fix your audio quality issues. Past few months I have not be able to use the device because of a broken storage error, rest assured a lot of people have seen this already.

    Also, if I may I would like to take this opportunity to ask you about your investment strategy and future road map for magicJack. What do you really do with all that money? An investment advice please :) .

    I am guessing some may go back into probably buying a great yatch? Some into real estate? And I am guessing you invest some back in the business. I am sure you have invested into upgrading the systems. However, if I may, I would like to suggest investing some in training the support staff.

    They are lovely folks and I am sure they have pleasured a lot. However, I have been they whipping boy. :(

    I just had the same type of chat session as Ronnie. They dont listen to you, make you do everything that you have done 100 times already and then make it nearly impossible to replace. Magic Jack is a joke to me. I personally hate MJ. Sadly, I have been laid off due to cutbacks and have not been able to find another job, so I am stuck with them for now. As soon as I get back on my feet. MJ is out of here.

    My MJ crashes all the time, has poor reception alot, puts people on hold and I cant take them off, or when I dial out it rings 3 times and goes back to a dial tone. Skype was much better for sure. Well, enough ranting.

    Got it home would not install. got online & in chat with a tech. Needed to download a program from them to make it install.
    The Tech was very nice & very helpful would give her 5 stars. M.J. I would give -5 stars.

    We live in a small town in Indiana, when I did get M.J. installed after an hour with tech person I tried to get a local phone number, NO LUCK! All I could get in my area code was from cities over 50 miles from our location. So now if people around our home wants to call us it’s a long distance call for them to call us even though the calling house is only 100 ft. away.

    M.J. does NOT let you look for phone numbers BEFORE you sign up, so in my opinion this is FALSE ADVERTISING saying it will work everywhere.

    If you live in major big cities this probably will work for you. If you live in a small town or out in country FORGET buying it.

    Let’s be honest–I re-signed for a 5 year renewal license because I LIVE on my computer, use my telephone very infrequently and loathe paying for a service that I seldom use. However, you DO get what you pay for and MagicJack has many, many annoying issues. Chief among these, is its tendency to take over (and generally MESS UP) your configurations after one of its frequent updates. And woe-woe-WOE-be-unto-you if you should need to “rely upon the kindness of (those) Customer ‘Support’ strangers” in MagicJack-neverland (!) It can get…very ugly, very quickly. Not only should you expect to spend a MINIMUM of 30 minutes phone time, even after your call has been escalated to a supervisor; but these supervisory techs are a bit on the arrogant side as they fail to fix your MJ issues. In the end, I find that I repair these glitches myself…just in time for the next Magicjack update (she adds dryly)

    magicjack offers 19.95..second year plan, I just bought 4 plans..

    just ask for help..

    magicjack will work good, but it depends on the Internet, computer or telephone that you have..

    So if you have cheap phone, slow internet and OLD PC..well, dont blame magicjack..!!

    I’ve had my majic jack for several months now. It works ok, not great but ok. Sometimes the call quality is so so and other times it works fine. I think it has to do with how much bandwidth is being used as I noticed that during the day the call quality is much better than during evenings when more people are home and probably doing stuff on their computers. The problem could be with a congested cable company network. I’m happy with it as far as it being a cheap alternative. I am out of work right now and can’t afford my Qwest landline anymore so I dropped it. I have to have internet for my online business to make some money so cutting internet service was not an option. Magic jack, while not the best quality phone service, is saving me alot of money right now.

I was able to make calls with no problem but i found that i couldn’t receive calls. whenever i would call my magicjack phone number, a man named anthony would answer!! i asked him if his number was the same as my assigned number and he said it wasn’t. so somehow my number was forwarding to him…… All in all it took about 2 hours but my issue did end up resolved:

    I logged on to the live chat and ended up talking to someone named Reyna. She had me unplug and plug in the magicjack, restart the magic jack, format the magic jack and then upgrade the magic jack. none of this resolved my issue and then we were disconnected. i’m sure you can imagine that at this point i was frustrated. here is a transcript of what happened when i logged back on to the live chat:

    this was the most inane customer service experience i have ever had. while i am glad that the issue ended up resolved, i CAN NOT BELIEVE how many times that they had me unplug and plug and run an upgrade…. in the end, having the prefix on my number changed is what did the trick. i hope this helps someone else resolve a similar issue in the future

    I have just read all the reveiws, it’s hard to beleive so much has happened without any one helping. I have had magic jack going on two years, it’s been the best thing I have done. Since then I have had at least 30 others buy one. They all feel the same way I do, it works great. I did return my first one, got a refund right away. Then ordered another one it has worked now for the two years. i did have Vonage before, Magic Jack works better for me. Just keep trying it will work…

    I have an unfortunate situation. I do computer repair, and a customer of mine had bought a magic jack, and asked me to hook it up. Everything worked fine. Until my next visit. Seemed he couldnt understand why his inital phone number was still ringing on the phones throughout the house, but not through his computer. He had thought his home phone would work through the device, therefore his computer. After my explaining to him how magic jack has its own phone number, he shook his head and said ‘here, you can have it.’ Apparently he didnt want it anymore. So with that explanation in place, now my problem. I would like to use this magic jack, but am unable to figure out what I need to do to switch it over to me as he had already filled out the information on it in his name, including paying the $20.00 on his credit card. I’m using skype, but would gladly switch to magic jack since A: As a computer tech I already have several computers running 24/7, and B: I would much rather use a regular inexpensive phone than getting headsets for the skype setup.

    I bought one of these at Best Buy. I began to install it and got as far as the page that asks you if you want a vanity number, Canadian number or free number. No where did it say anything about transferring your current home number to MagicJack. I also noticed my city (pop. of over 70,000 and largest in the area code) was not listed as an option for my area code. The MJ rep didn’t see a problem with this, didn’t have an explanation for why they didn’t include my city in the drop down menu and wouldn’t hand me off to someone more qualified to answer my questions. He essentially hung up on me. Their customer service leaves A LOT to be desired. This thing sounds like a complete scam and I WILL be reporting them to the BBB for misleading advertising.

    Well, I solved my initial problem (above) with a simple reboot of the computer. Now the issue is that although I can place and receive calls, and the people on the other end say they can hear me clearly, I cannot hear them. I can hear a dial tone when I pick up the receiver, but once a number is dialed, (same area code or not), there is nothing to be heard. Any ideas?

    Issue resolved via their customer service chat. Took a bit of time, but all seems well now. Had to turn off my internet provider’s firewall. Not sure if that’s a good thing…guess i’ll just turn it off when I need to use magicjack. Call quality is very good, some folks say I’m clearer than my landline.

    I attempted to renue my year old membership, and that was accomplished. Then a new MAGICJACK module was sent to me??? My credit card was billed twice. $42.55 on Jan 19 and again for $21.95 on Jan 29. MagicJack seems not to have a real Customer support live person number. this is very bad practice. If it seems to be “too good to be true” MagicJack is the good example.

    What part of “this site is not affiliated with Magic Jack” do you people not understand? I’m guessing if that concept is too much for you to comprehend, the problems you’re having probably aren’t coming from your Magic Jack.

    For those of you that have been using Magic Jack for a while and are suddenly having problems, just try using it on a different computer. I’m betting that a majority of you will find that it works just fine on a different machine. That’s how I narrowed down my problem.

    For those of you who just bought a Magic Jack and cannot seem to understand why it won’t work with the computer turned off. You need to go back to using a land line.

    Had to restore my magic jack and i cant find my softscreen dial up or some of the files for the majic Jack/ or tigerjack as i remember some files being named? Its like the files werre deleted and it not recognizing anything really.

    I received a phone call from a magicjack rep in which my 16 year old daughter answered and tried to take a message.. The rep was rude and at on point stated “your a stupid bit*h”. when I tried to return this call it was not a working number for magicjack.. You know this is terrible that when your trying to teach your children manners you are faced with a person of this nature and can NOT even complain to anyone from this company.. NO i’m not interested in your service and I will make sure I spread the word on this service call……

    I suggest a collective suit to put them out of business if they are stealing people’s money. I paid for a five years plan and got disconnected and the end of year 1. Customer service? Very well thank you. They don’t exist. This means these people are stealing money and turnning magic jack into a big scam. I am contacting as many lawyers as possible to consider a collective suit plus reporting them to the BBB.

    I’ve had my unit going on three years with no problems. In June the message side of the dialer reminded me that my subscription renewal was coming up. On the 22 I went to their site to renew for another year and it wouldn’t take my order. I went to live help and they told me that it would be reviewed. That was the last I heard from them. Yesterday they turned my phone service off for non payment. I went back to live help and I was told the same nonsense that it was under review. The customer service rep say’s “he was happy that he could help me” I told him that “he was no more help than my cat was”. At this point he threatened to not forward my complaint to anyone. It’s bad enough that we can’t get service but to have to put up with punks in another country is a disgrace.

    Simply unplug wait about 10 secnds and re-plug you magic jack. It will re-install the unit by it’s self.

    I try to use my MJ for my home office number when working at home. I forward my office number to my MJ number. I can of course receive and make calls. My problem is, that without fail, after 2 or 3 mins my calls will drop without any warning. It has become a joke at the office about my MJ and how my calls are always dropped. I did try MJ customer service and they did give me teh run around and reloaded software a couple times, but to no avail. Just can not rely on the MJ for work related calls.

    I’ve had to actually hunt for their phone number. But when I called they said go online? Honestly, don’t they think I went online first(Which I did) and got no answers. Every-time I actually get a person on the phone willing to talk to me… they dodge my questions.

    I had my magic jack for a quite a while.Recently an upgrade was downloaded automatically but I lost my contact numbers.I tried a few times to restart the magic jack but i got the same problem.So i decided to remove it and download it again,I wish I did not.Every time I start it gives me magic jack can not access the internet.I tried going to the magic jack websites but it does not open.Luckly i had the magic jack loaded to another computer.I would like to know why the websites does not open and how to solve my problem.Thanks
