I just installed my new MJ and after using just once, I cancled my Vonage account. I have cable (not dsl or dial-up), 4GB memory, 4 core AMD, usb 2.0. MJ is connected to USB on front of PC. PC connected to internet though D-Link 10/100 router port, and front it to the cable modem. I could not tell the difference between my Vonage call quality and that of the MJ. If you are having problems, it's your slow internet connection speed, or your PC is just too slow/under powered to handle VOIP demands (which are not that much really when compaired to current mainstream systems). Do a speed test on your internet connection to see what you get in band width, and run Futuremark on you PC to see how it rates. If you are mainstream and have true broadband speeds, MJ will work just fine. Don't blame MJ for issues related to slow internet speeds, and underpowered PC's.

I purchased my MJ a month ago and had no problem setting it up except for the firewall problem, but being a computer technician i found a work around easily and it works great!
Call quality is very good and I haven't had one problem with it yet. My ISP's bandwidth is more than enough to handle the MJ up here in Canada.

I hear some horror stories about people having problems. After researching many of the problems people are having I've come to the conclusion that it comes down to 2 factors. (1) Users or (2)users computers.

I run my MJ on a dedicated computer that sits in the corner that no one uses. I use XP home and it works great... Vista is a bit more problematic and windows 7 also has some issues with MJ.

In all for $19.95 a year I'm more than happy with MJ! One 10 minute long distance call and it's paid for itself... Where else can you find that kind of service?
