Magic Jack Softphone Download

Many people often get hung up on the Magic Jack Softphone download part of the installation process when they first start using this program and system. Really, it is probably most accurately called a VoIP system, or Voice over Internet Protocol phone dialing enabler. This is what magic Jack is really in the business of: getting you more affordable phone calls, especially long distance. It does this very, very well.

Anyway, the thing that you want to be aware with the Softphone software is that it is sort of the necessary bridge between you and your successful use of Magic Jack. Therefore, it is highly important that you understand the following basics about the Magic Jack Softphone download in order that you can troubleshoot things just in case something gets hung up or stops in the process of trying to work.

Basically, when you first plug in the Magic Jack device it will bring up a prompt to install the necessary software. The device will be able to do this for you automatically. All the user has to do is merely follow the promptings in order to get things up and running. This is called the Softphone screen and it is an alternative access to controlling your dialing, calls, and phone versus punching the actual physical numbers on the physical phone.

This screen will have a 411 button which most people do not unfortunately find all that useful. It merely brings you to a website wherein you can look up phone numbers yourself. (You could’ve just done that without the Softphone screen!) But the Magic Jack Softphone download does provide other truly vital resources. For example, it brings up the application which is necessary for all phone calls to take place via the Internet and your VoIP. And it also allows one to dial numbers, “pick up” the phone, and “hang up” the phone merely be pointing and clicking with the mouse. (Of course, all of these things can still be done with your normal physical phone still.)

That is about it for the basics of the downloading/application side of Magic Jack. Again, it is not rocket science but does occasionally skirt a little of the tracks. Nevertheless, its makers have ensured that it is easy to use and intuitive!

    Hi,I hope someone can help me.My neighbor downloaded a driver of some sort last week to their windows 2000.They will be back sometime next month.
    I hope someone can relay the info. to me. My universal lifeline can’t reach my spinal surgeon.
    Surgery-Tenth of nov. I hope my pro.2000 can also

    I have returned two magic Jacks The problem is I ncan’t call and 515-386 numbers. When I do I here it ringing on my end but they never get the calls. I am having the same problem in the city I live in it won’t let me call any 515-573 numbers. I can dial 515-576 numbers here in the same city I live. It is so wierd cause when I first got the magic jack it worked great I could call anyone. Thats the way bI need it to be again. Is there a fix? Please help me My dad is sick and I reALLY NEED THE 515-386 .

    Hi:
    My computer system is an M7 HP Media Center m7060n with Windows XP and Service Pack 3. I have two Magic Jack modules; the first one ends the year service and works without any problems until 15 January 2010 when I received the message of renewal.
    I decided to unplug to my computer and use the second module because it has a 5-year plan with a different phone number. The phone worked fine one day and then crashes my computer .

    If I disconnect the USB port module the computer will unfreeze, then I restart with the module connected the PC freeze again. Even I switched to different USB ports and still blocked. I connected to my small ASUS PC with WIN XP the module and phone works fine so the hardware is ok.

    Several people have tried to help me via blogs without good results. Finally I decide to use the System Restore tool and back 20 days without any success.
    Really I need any help.

    I can’t get a dial pad of any kind.
    I can’t get anything to work. I waited to see if this product was good. I’m not convined it is.
