Magic Jack Voip Phone Service

 

It’s no coincidence that the Magic Jack VoIP phone service is the most widely used Voice over Internet Protocol device in the world. They were one of the first to successfully enter this highly useful field and so they got a good head start from which to evolve over their competitors and get into an enviable competitive position from which they could utilize their increased visibility to further hone and improve their craft. And that is exactly what they have done over the ensuing years! In a highly competitive sector such as the Voice over Internet Protocol one is, there is no room for “sitting back on one’s laurels” and enjoying the profits of today. Whosoever does that will quickly be swamped by new companies coming out of the blue and grabbing market share.

 

So what exactly is this highly touted Magic Jack VoIP phone service? You have no doubt seen some of their infomercials on TV. I haven’t seen so many lately; it seems like there were more back in the day. This is probably because they have hit a critical mass of awareness in the consumers’ collective consciousness to where they can scale back big advertising efforts and put that capital to work more in solidifying themselves as an over-achiever in VoIP technology.

 

First one must understand what VoIP itself is: Voice over Internet Protocol. The name pretty much says it all. It transmits and transfers coagulated voice “data” through a cable or DSL modem and over Internet data wires. (Maybe even through the air.) When it gets to the person on the other end of the phone the data is then transferred back into your actual voice. This is much like a traditional phone but since it goes through the Internet the cost is much less than traditional phone line usage. In fact, that is why most people are (initially) attracted to Voice over Internet and the Magic Jack VoIP in particular. Also, it should be noted that VoIP is actually of a better quality (not worse) than traditional and, of course, cellular, phones. It doesn’t cut out much or hiss at all. This contrary to what many fear, and is why so many avoid the technology all together. However, this fear is wholly unfounded and is in fact opposite the reality of the situation.

 

In the end, buying a Magic Jack VoIP set is an option that is actually suitable for a majority of people, and I think we will only see it spread itself wider and wider as time goes on.
